Achieving Safety Excellence

Safety programs recognized by owners and state OSHA officials as “the best” in the profession. 

  • Our members’ outstanding safety records speak for themselves: over 7.8 million work hours in 2009 and a lost work day incident rate of .53 – an achievement recognized by NM OSHA as “superior”. 
  • AGC provides Safety Plan development, safety training, best practices guidance, sharing of lessons learned and networking among members’ safety professionals
  • AGC NM OSHA Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) Partnership

Workforce Development/Building Careers

AGC delivers a full range of career programs

  • Together with our members, AGC-NM founded ACE Leadership High School – a charter high school for Architecture, Construction & Engineering.  Through this innovative school we are preparing the next generation of construction professionals
  • Accredited craft apprenticeship training and educational programs include, the Endowed Chair in Construction Management at UNM  & CNM & AGC Student Chapters at UNM and NMSU
  • AGC serves as an accredited training sponsor for the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER), with classes offered in conjunction with public schools, colleges and universities throughout New Mexico making AGC’s multi trade apprenticeship program award-winning 
  • Supervisory training and professional development workshops and seminars align professional skill development with member employment needs.
  • Our rural New Mexico work delivers industry curriculum and career preparedness, i.e. AGC-UNM/Gallup and Greater Gallup Economic Development MOU to “Energize the Workforce
