AGC New Mexico Congratulates Kristy Peck on Appointment as Occupational Health and Safety Bureau Chief

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — September 11, 2026 — AGC New Mexico congratulates Kristy Peck on her appointment as Bureau Chief of the New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau (OHSB), effective September 12, 2026.
Peck brings extensive leadership, technical and supervisory experience within the Bureau, as well as a strong understanding of state and federal OSHA requirements. She has most recently served in the acting Bureau Chief capacity, providing oversight of the Bureau’s programs and operations.
“On behalf of AGC New Mexico and our members, we congratulate Kristy on her appointment and welcome her continued leadership of the Bureau,” said Kelly Roepke-Orth, CEO of AGC New Mexico. “Our industry shares a fundamental goal with OHSB: making sure every construction worker goes home safely at the end of the day. That requires communication, accountability and a willingness for industry and regulators to work together on practical solutions that improve safety in the field.”
Peck said strengthening cooperative programs and relationships with employers will be among the Bureau’s areas of focus under her leadership.

Through these efforts, we will continue to improve occupational health and safety throughout the state.”
AGC New Mexico has a longstanding commitment to construction safety and maintains an active working relationship with OHSB through safety education, industry outreach and cooperative initiatives, including the Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) Partnership.
“Kristy understands both the responsibility of the Bureau and the importance of strong working relationships with employers and safety professionals,” Roepke-Orth added. “We appreciate the dialogue she has maintained with our industry and look forward to continuing that work under her permanent leadership.”
