CONGRATULATIONS! AGC New Mexico Earns Top National Safety Recognition Again This Year

AGC New Mexico is proud to announce we have once again earned top national recognition through the Associated General Contractors of America’s National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) Program.

Hosted annually by the Associated General Contractors of America, the NASA Program recognizes AGC chapters and member companies for outstanding safety performance, proactive safety initiatives, and a demonstrated commitment to protecting construction workers across the industry.

Again this year, AGC New Mexico received recognition among peer chapters, reflecting the collective dedication of AGC NM’s member companies, safety professionals, and industry partners who continue to prioritize safety as a core value throughout New Mexico’s commercial construction industry.

“This achievement would not be possible without the unwavering commitment of our members. Their daily efforts to ensure the safety and health of their employees are what truly make this recognition meaningful,” said James Chapman, AGC NM’s 2026 EH&S Chair.

“By prioritizing safety on every job site, AGC New Mexico members are not only protecting their teams, they are also contributing to the well-being and resilience of the broader community. Their proactive approach to safety helps build a stronger, more sustainable New Mexico for all to enjoy. I am honored to be the 2026 EH&S Chair and part of this amazing group. This recognition is a testament to the culture of care and responsibility that our members bring to their work every day.”

“This recognition belongs to the entire AGC New Mexico community,” added Eliazar Loya, Safety Director at AGC NM. “From rigorous jobsite safety protocols to prioritizing mental health and wellness, our members are redefining what a strong safety culture looks like in construction.”

AGC New Mexico continues to lead the industry by promoting a comprehensive approach to safety that extends beyond regulatory compliance. Through collaborative partnerships, workforce education, mental health awareness initiatives, and proactive jobsite safety programs, AGC NM and its members remain committed to advancing a culture where safety is embedded into every aspect of construction operations.

The chapter extends its sincere gratitude to its dedicated staff, member companies, EH&S Committee leadership, and industry partners whose continued commitment to excellence makes achievements like this possible.

Congratulations to all AGC New Mexico members and partners on this outstanding national recognition.
