AGC New Mexico’s 2025 Membership Retreat

Building the Future, Together

AGC New Mexico recently wrapped up its 2025 Membership Retreat at Taos Ski Valley, where industry leaders from across the state took time away from their busy schedules to ensure AGC NM continues to serve as the unified voice for New Mexico’s commercial construction industry.

This year’s retreat marked a milestone—our first-year progress report on AGC NM’s three-year strategic plan. The results speak for themselves: we not only met our goals, we exceeded them in nearly every category. From workforce development and advocacy to member engagement and safety, AGC NM continues to advance our mission to strengthen, elevate, and unify the construction industry across the state.

Attendees heard from some of the best in the business:

  • Dale Dekker, Founding Principal of Dekker, shared forward-thinking insights on the circular economy and how New Mexico’s built environment can drive innovation and sustainability.

  • Deniz Mustafa, from AGC of America, delivered a national update on the “Big Beautiful Bill,” taxes, and tariffs—a timely and engaging presentation that earned rave reviews (and plenty of laughs).

  • Jason Espinoza, AGC NM’s trusted government affairs partner, provided an on-the-ground look at the local political landscape shaping our industry as we head into 2026.

Beyond the presentations, members reconnected through team-building activities, meaningful discussions, and shared experiences that underscored what makes AGC NM’s community so strong—our collective commitment to building a better New Mexico.

As we look ahead, we invite all members and industry partners to join us at next year’s retreat as we continue to keep AGC New Mexico relevant, forward-thinking, and aligned with the needs of our members. Together, we’re not just building projects—we’re building the future of New Mexico’s construction industry.
