CHASE (Construction Health and Safety Excellence) Cooperative Partnership Agreement RENEWED

AGC New Mexico and NM OSHA have ratified a new three-year CHASE (Construction Health and Safety Excellence) Cooperative Partnership Agreement – continuing our joint commitment to safer job sites and stronger industry standards.

What’s New?
📌 A Small Business Alternate DART Rate Calculation – giving smaller contractors a fair way to qualify while maintaining high safety standards.
📌 Clear small business definition: 250 or fewer onsite employees or meeting OSHA’s “two-case threshold” criteria.
📌 Continued collaboration to recognize and support members’ safety excellence.

This agreement ensures our CHASE members can stay engaged, recognized, and supported as leaders in safety for years to come.

Thank you to Acting Bureau Chief Kristy Peck, Jay Stimmell, and the NM OSHA team for their partnership!

 About CHASE

One of AGC New Mexico’s premier safety resources, the CHASE Program is a cooperative NM OSHA partnership that rewards qualifying AGC members for maintaining exceptional safety programs and low incidence rates.

Launched in 2001 as the second CHASE partnership in the nation—and the first between an AGC Chapter and an OSHA state plan—its mission is to:
🔹 Encourage outstanding safety performance by employers and employees.
🔹 Reduce injuries and fatalities in the construction industry.
🔹 Exceed NM OSHA regulations on every job.
