Welcome to the Empower Her Scholarship Program, an initiative designed to inspire, support, and advance women pursuing careers in the construction industry. Sponsored by Dr. Deb Fisher and the NMBEF, this program is committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, and excellence in construction-related professions.

How Your Dr. Deb Fisher's Donation is Making an Impact

1. Scholarships for Women of Construction

Empower Her Scholarships provide financial assistance to women enrolled in accredited construction-related programs, helping them achieve their educational and career goals.

2. Training and Mentorship Programs

Dedicated funds to support training and mentorship opportunities, providing women with the skills, guidance, and confidence needed to thrive in the construction industry.

3. Promotion and Awareness Campaigns

Dr. Deb Fisher's contribution helps us raise awareness and promote opportunities for women in construction, breaking down gender stereotypes and encouraging more women to explore this rewarding field.

Empower Her Scholarship Details - Application 

Scholarship Overview:

  • Number of Scholarships: Up to 3 scholarships annually for 4 years.
  • Scholarship Amount: $2,000–$2,500 each.
  • Eligibility: Open to women enrolled or accepted in accredited construction-related programs at colleges, universities, or vocational schools.

  • Application Opens: February 2025
  • Application Deadline: June 2025
  • Winners Announced: August 2025

Scholarship Application Process

  1. Application Form: Application
  2. Personal Statement: Share your goals, passion for construction, and future contributions to the industry.
  3. Letters of Recommendation: Two letters supporting your application.
  4. Academic Transcript: Submit an official copy from your current institution.
  5. Financial Documentation: Demonstrate financial need through FAFSA or similar documents.

Selection Process:
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee from NMBEF. Recipients will be notified and required to confirm their scholarship by submitting an acceptance letter.
