Description: Version 3 of the LEED rating system was released in 2009 and includes numerous enhancements to the rating system and online documentation process. This presentation explains the USGBC’s harmonization approach, the basis for credit weightings and the reasoning behind regional priority credits. Comparisons between version 2.2 and LEED 2009 will be offered, along with project examples, to illustrate advancements. In addition, an explanation of the improvements to the online interface will be presented. This session is intended for professionals who have prior experience with the LEED rating system, yet limited experience with LEED version 3.
