Hot Topics bring General Contractors and Specialty Contractors together and Improve Jobsite Productivity 

In 2016, AGC, through the guidance of the Specialty Contractors Council’s Steering Committee (SCC SC), began to host a facilitated roundtable discussion between specialty contractors and GCs on topics that are applicable to both parties as an education session at AGC’s Annual Convention. The ultimate goal of the roundtables is to improve the performance of jobsites across the country through facilitated discussion. In 2016 the subject was Maximize the Performance of Subcontractors through Project Scheduling and last year the topic was Maximize the Performance of the Pre-Construction Process through Pre and Post Bid Communication. 

Several AGC Chapters have replicated facilitated roundtable discussions with great success, but the process can easily be replicated on jobsites, bringing together GCs and Specialty Contractors. Here’s a sample video with tips and tricks to hosting a successful roundtable discussion.
