12/11/08: 2nd Annual AGC-NM Building Branch Apprenticeship Celebration Event Huge Success

With around eighty in attendance, the AGC-New Mexico Building Branch’s Second Annual Apprenticeship Celebration kicked off at the Isleta Fun Connection on Saturday, December 6th. After a short introduction from CEO Vicki Mora and Workforce Development Director, Margo Maher, apprentices and their families watched a DVD of Building Your Future and were treated to bowling, laser tag and arcade games at Isleta’s newly renovated site. Apprentices, instructors, Unilateral Training Committee Program Chairs, family members, and AGC staff munched on pizza, popcorn, nachos, and a festively decorated cake during this action packed 4-hour event. All of the apprentices received prizes from Frank’s Supply Company and were entered in a drawing for a flat screen TV that will be given away at next year’s Apprentice Celebration event. Apprentices invited to this gala event included 2 Program graduates, apprentices new to the program in 2008, and all apprentices who had advanced a level in 2008.
